Snaps from the workshop
June 5th, 2008
I haven’t got much time to post at the moment but liked these pics I snapped today. I’m building a wall cabinet that I will describe in a later post and taking a few pics along the way.
This is meant to document the cramping arrangement for this quite complex glue-up but turned out to be a neat shot of my hand-work area. This gives the impression of a neat and well organised shop. This is highly deceptive.
Everyone has to have a narrow depth-of-field shot in B&W so here’s mine for today. The material is Tasmanian Blackwood.

Looking good Mark. Can’t wait to see the finished product! Am also interested to see those drawings up on the wall a bit closer….

I have a lot of inspirational images dotted around the workshop.
The ones you can see are of Crocus bulbs and flowers. I had intended to create a small box for holding saffron - based on the Crocus form and opening as the petals of the flower open.
Ended up making a box for a fan that opens like a fan does - Fan box 2.
